Frequently asked questions

We already use [Jira / Github / Asana / Linear / etc...], so how would I use this?

AIBacklog is specifically aiming to be the best at helping you initally author backlog items.

After you finish grooming an item in AIBacklog, you'll export it into your tool of choice to manage the rest of the delivery life cycle.

In the future, we'll be offering integrations so that you can export straight to your tool of choice. But for now we recommend:

  1. Author your backlog items in AIBacklog
  2. Copy+paste into Jira/Github/Asana/Linear
My company does agile in this wierdly specific way. Will you support that?

For sure! You can...

  • Configure what you call your backlog items (Ex: Epic vs Feature).
  • Define the information you want to capture for each backlog item type.
  • Tune the AI to match your company's writing style preferences.
Will this replace my job?!

Definitely not.

We love AI, but it simply can't perform the critical/nuanced/strategic thought processes required to build a product backlog. What it CAN do is help you with the repetitive tasks so you can focus on the important "human" stuff.

"AI will probably replace software developers well before it replaces the job of defining the work." - said the developer who built this app.

Is the AI going to use my data to train itself?

Nope.

Smart question though. The last thing we'd want is for your company's private requirements to leak into the internet. Your data is passing through a Large Language Model (LLM), but it will not be used to train or improve the underlying model.

To our large enterprise customers (with huge budgets), you can provide us with your own LLM API key and we'll use that instead.
